Karnataka’s Covid issue has been monitored by a 19-member group

Karnataka: Following the Omicron variant breakout, the Karnataka government announced the formation of a 19-member medical expert group to monitor the COVID-19 situation in the state on Tuesday. The chairman of the committee is a professor and head of the medical department of Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, and the member secretary is the director of medical education.

The committee, which includes the Director of Jayadeva Hospital and other specialists, will carry out the World Health Organization’s, Central, and State governments’ directives and instructions on controlling COVID-19 spread. It has been requested to guarantee that government and private hospitals work together and to issue required instructions. 

The committee has also been entrusted with ensuring that isolation beds are available in both government and commercial institutions, as well as ensuring that standard practices are followed in the care of COVID patients. It will ensure that all government guidelines relating to the COVID-19 issue in the state are strictly followed.
