Two people in the udupi district have been identified with the COVID Omicron variant. Mangaluru has also reported one case. One is a 73-year-old lady, while the other is an 82-year-old guy. These are the first cases in the third wave to be reported. Both patients had received two doses of the coronavirus vaccine.
All members of the woman’s family were tested after a COVID-positive case was reported in their family. Three of the family’s four members have been verified as having tested positive for Omicron. The health department is seeking to figure out who the main link to the Both patients was free of COVID symptoms. The Omicron virus was also found in a Mangaluru nursing college student. She comes from the same cluster that was discovered on Saturday and is in good health, as per officials.
