Female bikers from ‘Mangalore Bikerni’ to spread the message of female empowerment

The district additional superintendent of police flagged off a bike journey to Rann of Kutch by the ‘Mangalore Bikerni’ club on Friday, December 24 at the circuit house to promote women’s empowerment. The Mangalore Bikerni Club was founded by Krithi Ucchil in 2015 and was shortly joined by Pooja Jain, Divya Poojary, and Apoorva Jain.

The four girls set out from Mangaluru on their journey to Kutch, covering 3,600 kilometers in 11 days and expecting to arrive on December 29 or 30. The team intends to travel between 500 and 600 kilometers every day. Krithi is a software engineer by profession. The Mangalore Bikerni Club was founded by her.

It is the only women’s cycling club in India. Pooja Jain, the owner of Devika Sarees, is also a black belt in karate. She also teaches karate. Divya Poojary is a medical representative who also enjoys riding her motorcycle. Apoorva is a mother of a 6-year-old son and a software developer. Kirthi enjoys traveling and has visited different destinations in South India with Pooja Jain and Divya Poojary. Apoorva has traveled to short-distance places before, but this will be her first trip of 3,600 kilometers.
