Semi-lockdown in Karnataka till January 19

The Karnataka government issued new guidelines till January 19 after an increase in Covid-19 cases in the state on Tuesday. The night curfew has been extended as a precaution against the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, and a weekend curfew has been imposed.

The Minister for Health, addressing reporters following an extended meeting to discuss the state’s current circumstances under the supervision of the Chief Minister, stated that the opening of classes from 1 to 9 standards has been postponed.
