Mangalore University has decided to make post-graduate admissions available to final-year undergraduate students who have taken their second-semester exams and are waiting for results. The first-year sessions for PG students will begin on January 17th.
Due to a delay in the University Grants Commission (UG) results, the start of postgraduate first-year classes has been postponed. Post-graduate classes used to begin in August before the pandemic. However, it has already been postponed by two months. The results were not declared, and thus the student was not admitted to a private autonomous college in the city.
The rules apply to all categories, including SC/ST and candidates who have appeared for special examinations held in December. If all the seats are filled in a post-graduate course, there is a provision to allow additional seats for candidates. MU has made these special provisions so that those students who wish to pursue higher studies are not deprived of the opportunity.
