The Dakshina Kannada (DK) and Udupi districts continued to see an increase in Covid-19 cases. The positive rate in the Dakshina Kannada district is 10.7% with 1,058 new cases. There are 4,964 current cases in the district. On Monday, a total of five clusters were discovered.

The chief minister of Dakshina Kannada has expressed unhappiness with the delay in getting the rest of the population vaccinated. The district has a high literacy rate, but it has yet to complete the first dose of vaccination targets. By involving local and community leaders, all necessary measures must be taken to achieve 100% vaccination.
