II PU Examinations In Karnataka Will Begin From April 16th, Timetable Announced.

  The dates for the II Pre-University examinations in Karnataka have been announced and will start on April 16 and conclude on May 6.

  The Department of Pre-University Education, on February 8, announced the timetable for the Second PU annual examinations for the 2021-22 academic year. The examinations will be held from April 16 to May 6, from 10.15 am to 1.30 pm.

  Dates declared between the raging controversy in some pre-university colleges, in coastal Karnataka, and elsewhere. The row has resulted in classes being suspended in some colleges. The academic activity was already disrupted owing to the Covid-19 pandemic.

  With the pandemic throwing the academic calendar out of gear, the government had decided to reduce the syllabus by 30% for language subjects. However, for optional subjects, the examinations will be conducted without any cut in the syllabus.

Subject wise timetable is as follows:

April 16: Maths, education, algebra
April 18: Political science, statistics
April 19: Information Technology, Retail, Automobile, Healthcare, Beauty and Wellness
April 20: History, Physics
April 21: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Urdu, Sanskrit, Arabic, French
April 25: Economics
April 26: Hindi
April 28: Kannada
April 29: Kannada
April 30: Sociology, Electronics, Computer Science
May 2: Geography, Biology
May 4: English
May 6: Optional Kannada, Accountancy, Geology, home science
