File Disposal Drive Was Launched By Minister Ashok.

  The file disposal drive was launched by Karnataka revenue minister R Ashok on Saturday, February 19 at Netravati hall of Zilla panchayat here.

  During the launch, the minister said, “The file disposal drive should not be just symbolic, instead, it should be implemented effectively for the benefit of the common man and justice should be done. “The representatives and the bureaucrats should be the voice of the common man and should work to solve the problems of the downtrodden without disappointing them. Hence, through this file disposal drive, we should do justice to the common man by disposing of their old and pending files,” he added.

  “Several files and applications filed for pension schemes which are pending from many years should be cleared immediately. Through this campaign, you should make sure that the poor are not made to run from pillar to post to get their work done,” he told the officials.

  The special drive for disposing of files will be launched in the entire state in the coming days. MLAs in the district will implement this drive in their respective constituencies.

 “The chief minister has appointed a committee under my guidance to bring change to lands like ‘Kumki’, ‘Bane’, ‘Kane’, ‘Soppina Betta’ and ‘Gomala’ where farmers can cultivate these lands.

  District in-charge minister V Sunil Kumar said that all pending files in government offices will be disposed of from February 19 to February 28 during the file disposal drive. “Since I have assumed office as district in-charge minister, I have received many complaints that several files are pending for many years. It may be due to technical problems, officers’ apathy, or the pandemic. Hence, all these pending files in the district should be cleared in this drive.

  Throughout this drive, all the officers will work relentlessly without leave and also work for additional hours. The intention of this drive is to do justice to the common man and avoid inconvenience to them. The officers will work to dispose of all pending files sincerely without any misconduct. The DC and the ZP CEO were asked, to collect reports from the officials on a daily basis and instructed district-level officers to tour the entire district.

  As many as 82,400 files are pending in the district in 45 departments. Out of these, 28,728 are old files, 2,000 are grievances, and 51,000 are pension applications. After February 28 for one week, ‘Kandaya Mela’ will be observed in all the taluks.
