Educational Institutions In DK & Udupi Declared Holiday On July 1, Due To Heavy Rain

Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner (DC) Dr K V Rajendra declared a holiday on Friday, July 1 for all the educational institutions as heavy rain lashed the city as well as in Udupi.

The India Meteorological Department declared an orange alert in the district on Friday. Hence, the DC has declared a holiday for the educational institutions.

Because of the heavy pouring rain, the district resulted in artificial flooding in various parts of the district, the DC declared a holiday for the educational institutions on Thursday, June 30.
