The “Ambaari Utsav” of the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has been making the rounds on social media prior to its inauguration. Tuesday, KSRTC will add 20 of these multi-axle Volvo 9600 sleeper buses to its fleet, fulfilling its promise of a 15-meter-long bus that will provide an aircraft-like travel experience.
According to sources, buses would be introduced to the Bengaluru and Mangalore divisions, but the specific route and ticket costs have yet to be disclosed. Twenty of the fifty buses we wish to add to our fleet have been delivered by Volvo. The vehicles have been registered and are ready for use. According to a source, the bus will provide the highest level of comfort among all KSRTC sleeper classes, thereby justifying its name Ambaari Ustav – “Celebration of Travel.”
During the bus’s trial run and while it was en route to the KSRTC depot in Bengaluru, locals took photographs and filmed the vehicle. According to a source, the 20 buses will be divided between the Bengaluru and Mangalore divisions, and when the remaining 30 buses arrive, they will be distributed to other divisions.
According to the source, the buses will operate on long routes like as Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam, where the demand for sleeper class is considerable. “Since the bus provides premium service and luxury, the ticket prices will reflect this. The cost of these sleeping buses will likely exceed that of Ambari’s dream class, according to a source. On Tuesday, the Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and the Transport Minister Sriramulu are expected to launch the project.
