On February 26, the Mangaluru Smart City Limited (MSCL) and the Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) will inaugurate several initiatives undertaken under the Smart City Mission and lay the cornerstone for upcoming developments in the city.
Several MSCL-completed projects will be inaugurated at 9 a.m., while a ceremony to set the groundwork for future projects will take place at 5 p.m. The new pavilion created within the Mangala Stadium will be inaugurated at 9:00 am, followed by the opening of the Skill Development and Training Centre at 10:00 am. At 5 p.m., a ceremony will be performed to lay the cornerstone for the waterfront development projects.
The groundbreaking ceremonies for the new Central Market Complex and Sultan Battery Area Development Project will take place at 5.30 p.m. and 6 p.m., respectively. V Sunil Kumar, Minister of Energy, Kannada, and Culture, and Nalin Kumar Kateel, Member of Parliament for Dakshina Kannada, would be the guests. D Vedavyasa Kamath, an MLA from Mangaluru City South, would preside.
