SSLC examinations have commenced in the state from today. The exams will take place across 98 examination centers in Dakshina Kannada (DK) district and 55 examination centers in Udupi district, with 8 centers in Byndoor, 9 in Kundapur, 10 in Karkala, 12 in Brahmavar, and 16 in Udupi. The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has provided free travel facilities to students to reach their examination centers and return home. To avail this facility, students must show their exam hall ticket to the bus conductor.
Approximately 29,572 students from 523 schools in DK will participate in the exams, while in Udupi, 13,753 students, consisting of 7,185 boys and 6,568 girls, will take part in the examination. To ensure that the examinations run smoothly without any hindrance, the deputy commissioners (DCs) of DK and Udupi districts have enforced prohibitory orders for a 200-meter area surrounding the SSLC examination centers from March 31 to April 15. This order aims to prevent any illegal activities and untoward incidents.
