Yellow Alert Issued as Coastal Karnataka Braces for Possible Rainfall in the Next Few Days

The weather department has predicted that the coastal region of Karnataka, which has been reeling under severe heat for the past few days, may receive moderate rain in the next four to five days. According to the weather forecast, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning accompanying the rain. The districts of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, and Uttara Kannada are likely to experience rain from April 15 to 18, with a yellow alert declared on these four days. The winds are expected to have a velocity of 30 to 40 km per hour during this period.

Apart from the coastal belt, the south and north interior parts of Karnataka are also expected to receive rainfall. The temperature soared in both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Friday with cloudy weather increasing humidity levels. In Mangaluru, the highest temperature recorded was 33.9 degrees Celsius, while the lowest was 26.1 degrees Celsius on Friday.
