After a tweet by Chief of Mahindra & Mahindra, Anand Mahindra explaining its cost efficiency, the Bandicar or the car cum cart has come into the public eye once again. The Bandicar came to being after Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade brought out the idea. It is pulled by two bulls in the front and has the rear of a car. Commenting on the widely circulated video of a farmer driving the same, Mahindra comically tagged the Chief Executive Officer of Tesla, Elon Musk and said that even Tesla maynot be able to match the renewable energy fueled car in terms of cost efficiency.
His tweet read, “I do not think a car using fuel that costs less than this can be manufactured. This is a car that has a renewable source of energy if Methane gas is used. I am not sure though about its smoke emission level,”
