Recently Indian railways introduced Vistadome coaches that have glass roofs in its design. This design is most likely to be a feature of Bengaluru – Mangaluru trains. Indian Railways sanctioned these coaches and they reached Bengaluru Division of Southwest Railways on February 22, 2021. It is expected that by March 15, 2021, it will be attached to a railway engine and passengers will be able to use this facility after this.
Officers of Public Relations in the Bengaluru Division, E. Vijay has informed that it has not been confirmed yet as to which train the Vistadome would be joining. Vistadome coaches are equipped with 40 luxury seats which will rotate in 360 degrees. With these coaches especially during the day, passengers can enjoy the picturesque view of the journey.
These coaches are set to be included in the Mangaluru train because of the Subrahmanya-Sakleshpur stretch of the railway line which provides a beautiful view of the areas such as ghat road, thick forests, falls and hills.
