The government  has set a target that seems extravagant yet achievable, but the technical hindrances especially in Mysuru has curtailed the developments. The public expressed their dissatisfaction  owing to unavailable slots in Mysuru, Shimoga, Hassan, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, Chikkamagaluru and Mandya till April 2nd, on the cowin.gov.in- self registration portal.

Many travellers are facing the problem due to slot unavailability. When questioned, the authorities asked the people to get vaccinated in the centres providing spot vaccination. The response and the difficulties of this vaccination drive has enraged a few people.

In the districts of Chamrajanagar the people are showing poor response towards this drive. Only 37 adults of 45-59 years of age have received vaccination till date, making Chamrajanagar the lowest in the State. When enquired with the locals, online registration seems to be the major problem. The registration process demands OTP, whereas the poor connectivity of the area hampers this.

The new initiative to make state covid free has begun. It holds public responsibility to cooperate and get vaccinated timely.
