The rise in the Covid cases in the state is a sign of the future second Covid wave as per the State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) . To avoid this teh state is invariably taking all needed precautionary measures. As per the timely instructions and guidance of the SDMA the State has issued an order with bans and must do’s to curtail the spread of this pandemic.
Though the trend of Covid cases are under the watch of the state, the recent spike has been observed in the last fortnight. So the SDMA has predicted that upcoming festivals of Ugadi, Holi, Shab-e-bharat, Good Friday etc. inviting huge gatherings will indeed pose a threat in terms of increased transmission of Covid-19 cases. In order to suppress the transmission chain the state has issued an order banning all celebratory gatherings especially in public during the upcoming festivals.
As per the order under the Section 22 of Disaster Management Act, 2005,SDMA has directed the BBMP commissioner, deputy commissioners and all the concerned authorities that the upcoming festivals creating unorganized crowds and gatherings in public must be put to hold strictly in the State of Karnataka.
The official notice also instructs the BBMP officials and authorities incharge to maintain a strict order and sensitize the public regarding this. Also informing the field functionaries of the order to be followed strictly is a part of the notice.
Any individual violating the given order will have to face the penalty under Section 51 to 60 of Disaster management act, 2005; Also under IPC section 188 and Sections 4,5,10 under Karnataka Epidemic Diseases Act, 2020, stated the order.
