Udupi district will begin vaccinations for ones above 18 years of age and will begin on Monday May 10. The initial launch would be made in four places while Dakshina Kannada is looking forward to begin vaccinations on Tuesday.
Vaccine doses would be available to people who have already registered and confirmed their slots. District health officers said that vaccines will be administered at St.Cecila School, taluk hospitals at Kundapura and Karkala. People who have registered themselves and have received messages can get vaccinated. There will be no on spot registration at any cost.
A total of 4,500 doses will arrive on Monday. Each of these centres 4,200 doses will be distributed for seven days at the rate of 150 doses in each centre.
The health department of Dakshina Kannada will launch the drive on Tuesday. Only the ones who have registered online will be eligible to get vaccinated. District Wenlock hospital and talik hospitals would be open for vaccination. In each centre, 150 to 170 persons alone can get vaccinated. In the second phase, people in the 45 to 60 and above 60 age group who have got the first dose will get a chance for the second dose.
They need not register online for receiving the second dose.
