As per a Karnataka High Court judgment, passengers traveling on Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) buses are not allowed to listen to music on their phone speakers. The prohibition was imposed by the Karnataka High Court after a petition was filed with the court. The petition requests that noise disruption inside buses be limited.
As per the report, the use of mobile phones to play music and movies at high volumes should be restricted. Considering the circumstances, the Karnataka High Court ordered that passengers on the bus be asked not to play music at high volumes that disrupt other passengers. The high court stated that if a passenger does not follow the directions, officials have the authority to deboard the individual from the bus.
