Autorickshaw drivers, sanitation workers, and frontline workers are among the list of guests on Republic Day

This year’s Republic Day celebrations at Rajpath have been open to people from different walks of life. Autorickshaw drivers, construction workers, sanitation employees, and frontline workers are among those invited. The number of visitors is expected to be significantly reduced this year because of COVID-19 limitations. For the sake of guest safety, only double-vaccinated invitees are permitted.

To get a better view of live performances, large LED displays have been built on both sides of the Rajpath. The celebration will begin at 10.30 a.m., 30 minutes later than originally planned. The event will feature tables from 12 states and union territories, as well as nine ministries. In West Bengal and Tamil Nadu, requests to reconsider their tableaux’ inclusion in the parade were denied.
