While speaking about the proposal to abolish dowry, As per the Governor, the Chief Minister was pleased with the idea of creating an anti-dowry bond in universities for students. One was that while enrolling for admission, one must sign a bond stating that they will not accept or offer dowry, which is a criminal offense. As a result, colleges will need students to sign a bond promising to uphold the legislation.
