This idea sparked when Mr.Ravi M MD of Arjun Tours and Travels Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru was fascinated to see the buffalo race and decided to start a ‘Kambala Holiday Package’. This exclusive package is for group 10 who will enjoy a two day celebration of Kambala. This group will attend the Rama-Lakshmana Jodugere Kambala at Goldfinch City, held on March 6.
The story behind this brainchild starts from the posts on Kambala found online.The mesmerising pictures of the glorious buffalo race left an impact and an idea to promote this sport to the world.Later contacting the local Kambala organiser, the two-day Kambala package for Bengalureans budded, says the MD of Arun Tours and Travels.
Though the number of registered people were high, surge in Covid cases in Mangaluru led them to call off this travel. Now the group travelling under this package consists of five travel writers will be first to experience the marvel of live buffalo race.As the Vice President of Karnataka Tourism Forum, Mr.Ravi (MD) has also seeked C P Yogeeshwara,the Tourism Minister to promote Kambala in various forums.
The Two-day ‘Kambala Holiday Package’ will introduce the beautiful coastal city to the visitors. The coastal cuisines, sight-seeing and many more will be included in this package to the delight of Bengaluru dwellers.The group will leave Bengaluru on the dawn of March 6th, reaching Mangaluru to watch Kambala till evening. The following day the group will enjoy sight-seeing around the city of Dakshina Kannada,lastly returning to Bengaluru with the scent of Mangaluru and Kambala in their hearts.
