With the second wave of COVID-19 engulfing the nation in a frenzied state, India has recorded cases that have surpassed the figures of the preceding phase. In an attempt to control the potential spike, Indian citizens above the age of 18, have been declared eligible for vaccination.

Starting at 4 pm today, all citizens above 18 years of age may register themselves for vaccination on the Aarogya Setu app or Co-WIN platform after which they will be eligible to receive vaccination from May 1, 2021.
Registration through the Aarogya Setu app:
- Open the Aarogya Setu app. Click on the Co-WIN tab.
- Choose ‘Vaccination Registration’. Enter your mobile number after which you will be able to verify yourself with an OTP.
- After being directed to the page ‘Register for Vaccination’, enter all your details consisting of name, gender, date of birth, photo ID proof and so on.
- Click ‘Register’ following which the option to schedule an appointment will be available. Next to the name of the registered individual choose ‘Schedule’.
- To search for added centres, enter your pin code and click ‘Search’.
- Opt for the date and time and ‘Confirm’ your appointment.
Registration through Co-WIN platform:
- On the Co-WIN website, click on ‘Register/Sign in’.
- Enter your mobile number and click ‘Get OTP’. Enter the OTP and click ‘Verify’.
- On the ‘Register for Vaccination’ page, enter all your details consisting of name, gender, date of birth, photo ID proof and so on.
- Click ‘Register’ and schedule an appointment by choosing ‘Schedule’ next to the name of the registered individual.
- To search for added centres, enter your pin code and click ‘Search’.
- Opt for the date and time and click on ‘Confirm’.
Hopefully, this venture will prove to be successful as citizens in large numbers will act responsibly, get themselves vaccinated and break the chain.
