The Karnataka union minister has directed the police department to make surveillance strict at state borders. Strict surveillance will be enabled at Talapady, Mangalore Junction and Mangalore central Railway station.
Additional measures are also implemented to check inter state movement on Kerala-Karnataka borders. The Dakshina Kannada Police has assigned personnel at 10 interstate stations to check the movement of people. Passengers will only be allowed into the district after providing a vaccination certificate or RT-PCR negative report. Arrangements have been made to conduct a check up at the check posts. Strict checking have been set up at Talapdy, Saradka, Salethoor, Kanyana, Menala, Swarga, Sulliapadavu, Murooru, Mandekolu, Baddadka and Kannadithodu
