Dharmasthala Laksha Deepotsava will begin on November 19th

The Lakshadeepotsava celebrations will begin on November 19 and last until November 24 at Dharmasthala.

The sarva dharma and sahitya sammelanas, which have been a component of Lakshadeepotsava since 1933, will be conducted on November 22 and 23. This year marks the 90th session of the Sammelanas.

Smriti Irani, Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Minority Affairs, will open the Sarva Dharma Sammelana at 5 p.m. M.R. Sathyanarayana, a scholar and lawyer from Shivamogga, will preside over this meeting. Later, R. Kumaresh and Jayanthi Kumaresh will perform a violin and veena jugalbandi, respectively.

On November 23 at 5 p.m., award-winning director P. Sheshadri will inaugurate the sahitya sammelana. H. V. Nagaraja Rao, a scholar, will preside. Ricky Kej, a Grammy Award-winning composer, will then perform.

The dates of the Hosta Katte Utsava and Kere Katte Utsava, respectively, are November 19 and November 20. On November 21, there will be Nagaswara recitals, dance performances by Bhargavi Arts and Dance Academy, Udupi, and a performance of Swati Tirunal’s Ramayana by Natya Kalanivas and Hassan artists. Also on that day is the Lalitodyana Utsava.

On November 22 and 23, respectively, the Kanchi Marukatte Utsava and Gouri Maru Katte Utsava will be conducted, and on November 24, Samavasarana Pooje will be presented.

November 19 through November 23 are the dates for the exhibition. According to Satheeshchandra S, secretary of the reception committee, various cultural programmes will be held in the exhibition venue every evening.
