DK District-Weekend curfew guidelines

The new control measures will be implemented in the Dakshina Kannada district from 03-12-2021 to 21-12-2021.  Strict checks are being imposed on checkpoints all along Dakshina Kannada district’s borders. The movement of individuals will be prohibited between Friday 10 pm to Monday 5 am, but essential and emergency activities will be allowed.

  • Weekend Curfew from Friday 10 pm to Monday 5 am
  • Buses are allowed to operate on weekends. Essential items shops can be open till 8 pm and to be purchased at the nearest store 
  • Sat-Sun off for schools and colleges 
  • Students with exams can show a hall ticket and travel
  • Pre-arranged wedding and religious events can be conducted this week 
  • 200 people are allowed to participate in the programs 
  • Only Parcels are allowed in hotels 
  • Restriction of public access to religious centers 
  • The Night Curfew will be strictly followed in the district Statement by The District Collector Dr. Rajendra KV
  • All-State and Central Government Offices and their Autonomous Institutions, Corporations, etc., shall be allowed to deal with emergencies. 
  • Essential Services and covid-19 Control and Management Duties shall be fully operational and allow for unrestricted movement of officers/ personnel in this regard
  • All public parks shall be closed.
  • Patients and their caretakers/persons in need of emergency care with minimal evidence, Eligible individuals intending to take the vaccine will be allowed to move. 
  • Street vendors are allowed to work in shops dealing with food, groceries, fruits and vegetables, meat and fish, dairy and milk booths, and meat shops. 
  • Public distribution system stores are allowed to operate. 24×7 for all things
  • Home Delivery is encouraged to reduce the mobility of individuals outside their homes. 
  • One can go to airports, bus terminals/bus stations, and railway stations for commuter transport. 
  • Access to public transport vehicles, private vehicles, and taxis is allowed only after the official travel document or ticket has been displayed and has complied with the Code of Conduct and following all the appropriate guidelines.
