“A life with no regrets, to live a happy and peaceful life is what I like to live by” says journalist, television anchor and radio jockey, Errol Gonsalves.
Errol Gonsalves is a man who plays many parts. He has set foot in many aspects of the field of media. He is a journalist, a radio jockey, a Master of Compere(MC), Public relation specialist, television anchor and a social media influencer. He completed his post graduate degree in Communication.
He defines himself as a person who finds joy in little things. Even when hardships came in his way, Gonsalves strongly believes that it is those hardships that helped him find a discretion between what is righteous and what isn’t. He started earning his living at a young age as he knew that being from a humble background, it was integral that he learns to provide whatever he can to his family. Even as a child, he knew he wanted to become famous. His love for cricket and Sachin tendulkar made him follow cricket often and in turn follow the news more often. This constituted his interest in journalism.
His friend Avinash Kamath, who was previously a Radio Jockey(RJ) in Big FM helped Gonsalves enter into the world of radio. In 2007, it was Avinash who encouraged me to audition for a radio station that was launching in Mangalore, says Errol Gonsalves he got selected and there started his journey as a radio jockey. In 2011, he joined Big FM 92.7. Today he has completed over 10 years as an RJ.
For Gonsalves, his work defines who he is. Even if he has a small fan following, his aim to make their day better through his words and in turn work. One must create their own reasons for happiness instead of waiting for them. For him, a day when he meets new people is a day well spent. As part of his work, he has the opportunity to interview and speak with many achievers and he says that those stories inspire him to work even harder.
