The MP incharge informed the concerned authorities to meticulously follow the COVID norms while organising the folk sport of Kudla, KAMBALA this season.Owing to the worldwide Corona crisis there has already been a delay in conducting Kambala for this season.
After the discussion regarding the same at the DC’s office, the regional MP spoke about being able to conduct more than ten Kambalas after Jan 30th.The farmers have been reluctant to conduct Kambala this year due to the fear of Corona infection.
The District Commissioner of Dakshina Kannada, speaking on this matter, emphasized taking maximum precautions in the view of Covid. Steps must be taken such that the gathering must not be large, before ten pm the Kambala must conclude, also the crowd must not consist of aged people and children, who are more prone to Corona. All precautions including maintenance of social distance must be followed during this Kambala Season.
As per the concerns from the higher authority the Kambala Samithi office bearers have promised to conduct activities by following the Covid guidelines. This meeting on the conduct of Kambala activities was attended by regional MLA’s, District Superintendent of Police commissioner, and Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry Department to conclude with a safe and yet enjoyable Kambala fest.
