With the daily count of Covid-19 cases decreasing in the country, the Ministry of Civil Aviation allowed scheduled domestic aviation flights to resume on October 18 without any capacity restrictions. Domestic flight capacity is now limited to 85 percent of total capacity. As per a Civil Aviation Government directive, the ministry has decided to resume all scheduled domestic operations with effect from 18-10-2021 without any capacity constraint” after reviewing the present condition of Scheduled Domestic Operations concerning passenger demand for air travel.
The airline operators, on the other hand, must guarantee that the standards for preventing the spread of COVID are carefully followed and that COVID-appropriate behavior is severely enforced by them during travel, as per the statement. The cap was set at 65 percent between July 5 and August 12. The limit was set at 50% between June 1 and July 5. The cap was progressively increased to 80% by December 2020, and it remained in place until June 1 this year, when it was reduced due to the second wave of the Covid-19 epidemic.
