Girish PV a travel enthusiast from Mangalore traveled from Kanyakumari to Khardung La on his TVS 50 XL. Apart from the numerous lovely locations to visit and activities to do in Mangaluru, a private museum on the outskirts of the city is quietly attracting the attention of many automotive enthusiasts from all over the country. PV Vintage and Classics Museum is the idea of P.V. Girish, who passionately and carefully saved both 2-wheelers and 4-wheelers to show students from schools and the surrounding area what the vehicles were all about in earlier times.

He has 111 two-wheelers and vehicles in his collection and has no intention of quitting collecting. What makes him even more daring is his zeal for life and love of travel, even if it is truly off-the-beaten-path for most! After attempting the 3,800 kilometers from Kanyakumari to Khardung La twice, hang on for this: first on his 150 cc Lamby Scooter, then on his 74 cc Bajaj M80 a year later, this time on his 50 cc TVS 50XL. Girish P.V. had earlier completed the Leh Ladakh trip on an Enfield 500 cc motorcycle and subsequently on his 250 cc Yezdi Roadking motorcycle. He has always wanted to do things differently and keeps encouraging everyone to do what their passion tells them to do, and to do things within their limits. He is a very active member of the Coastal Retro Indian Scooterists, Kings Raid, and Mangalore Jawa & Yezdi Motorcycle Club, among many other groups.

At 2.30 p.m., the formal flag-off for this solo K2K ride was held at the Sai Radha TVS Motor Company in Bendure. In the presence of Siddharth Shetty, the Managing Director of Sai Radha Group, Ajay Gupta, the Regional Area Manager, flagged off Girish P.V. on his TVS XL 50. Sommaiah, the Sales Territory Manager, Vrajanatha Acharya, the General Manager, Rithesh, the Service Territorial Manager, and Rajesh Shetty, the Deputy Manager, were also in attendance. The real trip will begin on September 23rd in Kanyakumari, and Girish P.V. wants to arrive in Leh and Khardung La on October 12th.
