In this context, for the control and prevention of COVID-19 in Karnataka, instructions have been given from time to time for arrivals from Kerala.

In addition the following instructions are given in connection with travel to Kerala:
- All Educational, Nursing, and Paramedical Institution Administrators/Principals are urged to instruct their wards who have not yet returned to Karnataka to postpone their return until the end of October 2021. They should also tell their children that they should not visit to Kerala until the end of October 2021.
- All administrators / owners of hospitals, nursing homes, offices, hotels, factories, industries, and other similar establishments should encourage their wards who have not yet returned to Karnataka to postpone their return until the end of October 2021.
- If there is no emergency or urgency, the public is recommended to postpone their plans to visit Kerala until the end of October 2021, in order to avoid the third wave of COVID-19 in Karnataka and protect public health.
