Karnataka: Weekend and night curfew extended till January – end

The state government has decided to extend the weekend and night curfews till the end of January because of an increase in Covid-positive cases, particularly the Omicron variety. The virtual meeting was held on Monday to discuss concerns about the growing number of Covid cases in the state. 

Officials must take action against those who organize public gatherings and strictly adhere to COVID guidelines in public places. The education and health authorities were to perform health exams in schools every 2 weeks, while the CM directed health officials to ensure that warehouses have enough medications. At taluk and district hospitals, they set upwards, ICUs, and other facilities for children.
