Karnataka: Wins an award for energy efficiency

Karnataka won a federal award for ranking first in the State Energy Efficiency Index, with a score of 70 out of 100. Karnataka Renewable Energy Development Limited received the award on National Conservation Day, which is commemorated every year on December 14 by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency. 

Additionally, the Additional Chief Secretary (Energy Department), remarked, “They increased our scores by nearly 10 points over the previous year.” Karnataka is trying hard to boost its renewable energy production.
