Mangalore: The Life Insurance Corporation of India is providing the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2021 for students from the economically backward section (EWS) who desire to pursue their education. The deadline to apply online is December 31, 2021. Candidates must apply over the internet. The prize is open to students in India who are enrolled in government or private colleges. The LIC golden jubilee scholarship is now available for technical and vocational courses at National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT)-accredited Industrial Training Institutes, as well as integrated studies after Class 12.
Eligibility criteria for LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship 2021
- All students who completed their Class 10 and Class 12 exams (or its equivalent) with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade) in the academic year 2020-21 and whose guardians have an annual income of not more than Rs 2 lakh per year are eligible to apply for regular scholarships.
Scholarship for a female student
- After class 10, a special scholarship is given to a girl student to pursue further education in the intermediate or 10 + 2 pattern for two years.
- Candidates who received 60% or an equivalent grade in the Class 10 test in the academic year 2020-21 are eligible, as long as their guardian’s yearly income does not exceed Rs. 2 lakh.
The scholarship will last for the duration of the course for regular scholars and two years for special girl scholars, providing the candidate meets the qualifying requirements for renewal. The selected regular scholar would get a stipend of Rs 20,000 each year, payable in three installments. A scholarship of Rs 10,000 per annum will be provided to chosen unique children pursuing education in the 10+2 course Payable in three installments.
