The Manipal Academy of Higher Education announced that the institute will waive the course fee for the students who lost their earning parent due to the existing covid-19 pandemic. The information was shared on the official social media platform of the institute. The Academy has announced a full fee waiver for the students who have lost their parents. This will be considered as a scholarship for the student for the remaining duration of their study in the institute.
The statement added that the remaining education would be considered under scholarship. The Fee Waiver will be applicable as per MAHE guideline. It is one of the biggest relief that the institute could provide to those who would’ve been concerned about their education and is indeed a great decision.
The institute based in Karnataka has also decided to vaccinate all the students. A press release by MAHE said that they have already started vaccinating the students who are present in the campus hostels. This drive is also initiated to help students who reside in and out of Manipal. The release also stated that the students should contact their respective institutions to get their vaccination. This will be continued to all students as and when they will return to the campus.
Manipal Institute of Technology recently announced the cancellation of examinations of its end-semester after an appeal by the students. MAHE has around 20,000 students studying in various constituents of the college including Manipal Institute Of Technology and Kasturba Medical College.
