We R Cycling (WERC), a professionally run sports club in Mangalore city, will host a “Hero Cycles” Mangalore Cyclothon 2023″ on Sunday for schoolchildren and their parents to promote the advantages of cycling and road safety.
In the presence of Mukund Kamath of Ideal Ice Creams, S M Muthalib of Taj Cycle Co., and Anand Prabhu of Kasharp Fitness, the Cyclothon will be flagged off at 7 am in front of Mangala Stadium by Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Geetha Kulkarni.
By 6.30 a.m., participants must arrive at the venue, he said. Around 8.30 a.m., the march would end at Canara School Ground in Urwa after passing via Lady Hill, City Corporation, PVS, Bunts Hostel, Ambedkar (Jyothi) Circle, Hampankatta, Clock Tower, and Lady Hill. A $20 registration fee is required to register on www.wercycling.com.

After the rally, attendees would work out with Kasharp Fitness, and then they would receive breakfast. Bicycles would be given away in a lucky draw for registered attendees. Over 1,000 attendees are anticipated by the organisers. The safety of participants would be ensured by volunteers from WERC, Mangalore Runners, and the Mangalore City Traffic Police, together with first aid and ambulance services from A.J Hospital and a backup vehicle from Taj Cycle Co.
