Mangalore Smart City Limited (MSCL) is planning to introduce smart parking systems at 12 locations across Mangalore, where users can pre-book parking spaces through a mobile app. The locations include Mission Street Road, Nellikai Road, Rosario Church Road, and others, although the final decision will be made after consulting with the Mangalore City police and Mangalore City Corporation (MCC).
The parking lots for 280 four-wheelers have been identified, and the MCC will need to develop a parking policy. The MSCL is currently developing a process to allow users to pay for parking through their phones or credit cards. The project, which will be implemented through the website 1touchmangaluru.com, is expected to be ready in the next four months.
