Mangalore boy Ashwal Rai of the Indian volleyball team, competing in the Asian Games championship that will be held in Japan next week. Ashwal was ranked the no. 1 blocker in Asia in 2019. His achievements in the field of volleyball are tremendous. He has won gold medals at both the international and national levels.
He secured a gold medal in volleyball at the South Asian Games 2019 held in Nepal from 01.12.2019 to 10.12.2019, a gold medal in the Inter National Netball Championship held in Sri Lanka in 2012-13, a gold medal in South Zone Men Netball Championship held at Thiruchanapalli on 2012-13, Participated in All India Inter-University Men Netball tournament held at Hariyana 2012-13, Secured Silver medal in National Level Men Volleyball tournament held at Rajasthan 2013-14, Secured Silver Medal in Senior State Netball championship for Men held at Bangalore 2013-14, secured Gold medal in Senior National Volleyball tournament fro men held at Chennai 2019-2020.
