A modern and well-equipped cricket stadium has long been a dream among all coastline cricket fans. A 22-acre plot of public property near Mangalore University has been set aside for the construction of a cricket stadium.

Former deputy commissioner Dr. K V Rajendra created the design and submitted it to the government. As per reports, the government is likely to approve the construction of a stadium in Mysuru at the regional office first, followed by the Mangaluru cricket stadium proposal.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association is excited about the prospect of constructing a cricket stadium in Mangaluru. Officials have assured that construction of the cricket stadium will begin once the government grants approval and allots the necessary land. The stadium’s detailed project report (DPR) is being prepared, and construction is expected to be completed in three years. Dr Rajendra informed the cricket officials that the district administration has assured them of their full support and cooperation.
