The Mangaluru City Corporation (MCC) has updated its online trade license renewal system in response to feedback from businesses. Traders may use the new app to apply for or extend a trade license by utilizing net banking, credit, or debit cards to pay the charge. Traders will no longer need to go to the municipal corporation office since the new software will generate a provisional trade license for them in minutes, with the original following in 30 days.
About 14,000 trade licenses were given or renewed in 2021-22. Traders will get an SMS notice with a link and payment details for renewing their trade license from 2022 to 2023 on their registered phone numbers. The traders may log on to http://mcctradelicense.com:4400/Web/to track the status of their applications.
The MCC will send teams to stores and businesses all over the city to verify trade licenses. Those who do not renew their trade licenses will be fined. Traders will be fined if they fail to declare the true dimension of their business’s plinth area when applying for a license.
