MESCOM and BESCOM planned to reduce Electricity Tariff

Under the restrictions of BESCOM and MESCOM, the government has decided to lower power expenditure reduction. There will be a reduction of 37 paisa under BESCOM restrictions, while there will be 39 paisa within MESCOM limits. The consumers will be able to immediately benefit from this.

According to the KERC (fuel and electricity buying expenses adjustment) Rules-2022 and their revisions, the authority has observed a decrease in the overall fuel and electricity buying expenses in the second trimester (July 2022–September 2022).

It has been decided to lower the price by 37 paise per unit from January 1 to March 31.
