More Than Just Your Average MBA Graduate Meet Mr. Tauseef Ahmed, The Man Who Has Done It All

Mr. Tauseef Ahmed M completed his MBA from SDM College of Business Management, Mangalore in the year 2011. He is greatly fond of animals and is an animal rights activist. He has been working full-time in rescuing animals for the past nine years. He has been involved in rescue activities in and around Mangalore, Udupi, and Kundapur. He has rescued more than 10,000 animals of which 4,500 alone were snakes. Apart from this all,  Mr. Tauseef has also authored a book by the title “Straying Around You” which is the story of a dog that was born on the streets. Even while being a full-time Animal Rights activist Mr.Tauseef is also a realtor working in Mangalore

For his immense hard work and dedication towards his field of work, he has been felicitated with various awards and accolades. He was awarded the Aranya Mitra award by the Karnataka State Government Forest Department. He was one among the 40 eco- warriors who were felicitated at Hyderabad by New Indian Express group. The National Award for best street rescue and care in India for Animals award was won by Tauseef Ahmed in 2018 at Hyderabad.

Junior Chamber International(JCI),  Mangalore honoured him as the Outstanding Young Person in 2018.

He was honored as an unsung hero of Mangalore in 2018 by Bearys group of institutions. Rotary Club also celebrated his contribution towards society.

Even during times of difficulty and panic like that of the pandemic, he has done everything he can to facilitate the wellbeing of animals. Thus, he was awarded the Covid Warrior Excellency award by the Human Rights Committee, Delhi for his contribution to saving and feeding animals during this time. 

A story like his, needs to be said out loud. He represented the voice of voiceless animals at the TEDx talk in Mangalore recently. 

Animals need a voice to speak for them, a person to love them and kind hearts to take care of them and Tauseef Ahmed has done it all.

Kadri Park’s fountain and foot overbridge inaugrated

On Monday, January 23, MLA Vedavyas Kamath officially opened the foot overbridge over the lake, the fountain, and the development projects carried out by the Mangaluru Urban Development Authority.  The foot overbridge over the water and the fountain each cost Rs. 43.50 lacs to construct. At Kadri Park, two projects have been officially launched, and the framework for many more has already been established. MLA Vedavyas Kamath stated, "We are anticipating that the money will be provided anytime soon. A proposal has been made to the government for development work on the ponds at a cost of Rs 30 crore in Mangaluru North and South constituency.According to Vedavyas Kamath, a plan was created for the development of 25 ponds, 12 of which have already seen construction. Ravi Shankar Mijar, the head of MUDA, said: "Kadri Park's development has been given priority under MUDA.  Kadri Park's entrance and access road have been constructed.  At the same period, Kadri Park created a fountain and a foot overbridge.  Additionally, the development of 40 parks in Mangaluru North and 30 parks in Mangaluru South has been prioritised." The attendance included the mayor, Jayanand Anchan, the deputy mayor, Poornima, the former mayor, Premananda Shetty, the corporator, Shakeela Kava, Kishore Kottari, Hemalatha Raghu Salian, Sudheer Shetty Kannur, Pooja Pai, Nithin Kumar, and others.
