Night and weekend curfews guidelines

On August 6, the state administration released instructions for the night and weekend curfew, which will take effect on August 6. The decision was made by the chief minister following an assessment of the situation by authorities and health specialists. Experts have advised that, because of given

Following the order, a night curfew will be enforced in the state from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Weekend curfews will be imposed in the districts of Belagavi, Bidar, Vijaypura, and Kalburagi in Maharashtra, and Dakshina Kannada, Kodagu, Mysuru, and Chamarajanagar in Kerala. From 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., citizens are only allowed to buy essential items from the grocery store. Unnecessary public movement is prohibited.

All social, political, sports, and entertainment, as well as academic, cultural, religious, and other gatherings, are prohibited. Marriages with a maximum of 100 people are permitted, as long as the covid-19 guidelines are followed. With a group of 20 individuals, cremations/funerals will be permitted. Temples, mosques, churches, gurudwaras, and other houses of worship are allowed to open, as are associated activities linked to the places of worship, as long as they follow the Covid-19 guidelines. The edict, however, says that jatras, temple festivals, processions, and gatherings are not permitted
