The inter-state bus service between Mangaluru and the Kerala border area would be stopped for another week due to an increase in Covid-19 cases in Kerala. On Monday, a Karnataka Development Program (KDP)inter-state meeting was held by the Dakshina Kannada district minister at the ZP office decided that bus services between Dakshina Kannada and Kerala should not resume in one week.
As addressed by the ministry, It’s tough to keep track of all of the passengers on this route. Permitting inter-state buses will also have an impact on Covid-control measures. After watching the Kerala district’s daily positivity rate over one week, we will be able to make an informed conclusion.
After the Karnataka government declared lockdown again on April 27, bus services on inter-state routes were halted. On the Mangalore to Kerala route, only KSRTC buses from both states were running. From July 5, when Karnataka announced Unlock, buses began running across the state. KSRTC buses on the Mangalore to Kerala route, on the other hand, finish their journeys at the Talapady border.
