After a long break, it was a relaxation for passengers to know that International flights start the journey. Unfortunately, the state’s second busiest airport cannot help with this. The rapid RT-PCR test is one of the chief requirements to enter the UAE ( United Arab Emirates) but is not available in Mangalore International Airport. Should look via Bangalore or Cochin.
Effective from Thursday, some categories of passengers will be granted permission to enter the UAE, which includes holding a valid UAE resident visa, having been vaccinated in the UAE, and having completed 14 days since being administered the second dose of vaccine. Some categories like students and health professionals vaccination are not compulsory.
There are some necessities to carry while traveling like the traveler has to have a valid negative Covid-19 test certificate issued within 48 hours of collecting the sample and RT-PCR test conducted before the departure from the country of boarding. Sources in the airlines said the DGCA will not allow airlines to schedule flights unless the requirements of the destination country are met, while the authorities in charge at the airport of providing the facility are scrambling to get vendors who take the rapid tests at the last minute.
This decision has troubled the passengers who travel from Mangalore International Airport. There are a huge number of travelers who depend on Mangalore.
