The ticket charges will have a 20% hike.
The private buses will start operating from July 1st with a 20% hike in the prices. The buses will port only 50% of the passengers and will have to strictly follow covid protocol.
The deputy commissioner had granted permissions for the busses to begin operation from the previous Monday, however the bus operators decided to wait till the 1st of July. This could also be accounted for due to the maintenance work of the buses and also the hike in the fuel prices. It has been decided to increase the bus fare by 20% of the existing prices until covid guidelines are in force.
The transportation will strictly be followed along with the covid guidelines. Masks and social distancing are compulsory along with the 50% occupancy .
The president of District Bus Associations told the media that few busses will start operating as per the guidelines from RTO and depending on the conditions of the vehicle. Almost all the drivers and conductors have received their first dose of vaccination.He also added that more number of busses will start operating from July 5
