Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar informed that examinations for students of second pre- university(PUC- grade 12) will be conducted in the second week of May while the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC-class 10) in the first week of June.
The official statement by the minister said that the final syllabus for teaching and learning with regard to the aforementioned exams has been made by the Education Department and further details have been sent to colleges and schools.
The minister also mentioned that no decision or proposal regarding cutting short syllabus of students from class 1 to 9 as an alternative schedule has been made. Evaluation for these students will be held at school level and schools should make discretion based on the learning ability of students.
On January 01,2021, after over 10 months of remaining closed, schools and pre-university colleges in Karnataka re-opened for students of class-10 and second year PUC while strictly following Covid -19 safety guidelines. Students of classes 6-9 who have applied for the Vidyagama programme enabling continued schooling are also going to the campuses.
