RTO Directs All Mangalore Buses To Compulsorily Display Name Plates In Kannada

 The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has made it compulsory for buses operating in Mangalore, Udupi and Manipal to put up nameplates in Kannada within the next seven days.

This decision was taken at a Janaspandana meet held here recently. The RTO has directed all bus operators to display route numbers and destination on the nameplates in Kannada along with the existing English nameplates.

According to the press release issued, District RTO has warned of stern action if the bus operators do not display nameplates in Kannada after the deadline expires.
