The Mangalore City police is responsible for looking after the city administration of Mangalore, so they are having a one-week traffic drive. An appeal to all citizens of Mangalore Commissionerate to cooperate with traffic police for the traffic drive from 27-09-2021 to 2-10-2021 in the larger interest of reducing accidents and for women and children’s safety.
While conducting the drive, the task is given priority; today, Monday 27th, will look into the removal of black films from vehicles with a fine of 500/-. On Tuesday, a defective number plate/no registration with a 500/-fine On Wednesday, they will conduct a helmet drive, and on Thursday, they will conduct an insurance drive, with penalty fees of 1000 rupees for two-wheelers, 2000 rupees for light vehicles, and 4,000 rupees for heavy vehicles. On Friday, old cases registered on automation centres on vehicles will be checked, and on Saturday, an emission test drive will be conducted. This initiative is being held with the goal of making Mangalore a safer place for everyone, and it will require all public cooperation to be successful.
