A student of Class X from St Mary’s English Medium School, Laila in Belthangady, wrote her final SSLC Exams by coming to Examination Centre on a stretcher. She had met with an accident along with her mom from a two-wheeler on Tuesday while going to the school.
Tanvi (15), daughter of the Laxmana-Mamata couple, is the bold girl who wrote the examination despite her accident injury. Tanvi fell down after the scooter skidded and got injured on her hands, legs and face. She was immediately admitted to a private hospital and given medical aid. Dr Gopalkrishna, CEO of Benaka Hospital of Ujire provided the ambulance and stretcher and sent injured Tanvi to the examination centre with a nurse and driver.
BEO Beltangady, H S Virupakshappa said, “Education department responded immediately keeping in mind the future of the injured student. Tanvi answered the examination with the help of ninth standard student of St Mary’s English Medium school. She was taken back to the hospital after the examination, in order to monitor her medical condition as per the doctor’s advice.”
